Alright so I finally opened a blog. I am not going to rant about my daily lives here. This blog revolves around fashion, and I’m not talking about runway trends. Vintage is definitely a big issue in this blog, but it’s just one of the very few things I’ll touch on. Anything/anyone that stands out from the crowd gets into this page.
Anyway, I’m going to celebrate the opening of this blog by posting two items I just received in the mail yesterday. Since the first time I shopped on Ebay last year, these two are the best buys I have ever made, if my memory serves me correctly.
First up is a vintage American Tourister overnight tote straight from the 60s (or 70s). It stank of storage smell but that’s the charm of buying vintage. This bag is so awesomely huge and roomy I can store shoes in the bottom compartment, just the way I love it, not to mention that it comes in the olive/kelly green so typical in the 70s. Best thing is, I spent so little on it I can’t believe noone else made a bid. Oh well, their loss.
Another vintage item that came on the same day (yes, it’s one of those really good days I have), is none other than the legendary Ferragamo flats. I spent roughly the same amount (plus shipping) as the Tourister, but this time a few people were competing with me. Well it’s too bad for them that they didn’t bid higher, because boy these croc-embellished ones don’t appear everyday (and not in size *AAA/AAAAA too).
Edit: for those of you who aren’t too familiar with vintage Ferragamo flats, these beautiful babies tend to come in A-AAAA width, which means your feet has to be narrow, or extra narrow, to fit into them
Viva la Vintage!
Hooray for a new blog!!
