When Phi decided to close its business more than a year ago I was quite disappointed because it’s one of those few design houses that almost encapsulates my aesthetics. They were like the modern biker meets rocker chick swathed in high quality architectural junk, not just any ol’ thrifter rampant in certain parts of England. Not saying the latter is bad (hey that’s how I get half of my stuff), but Phi gave girls an avenue to express their attitude without looking like some washed out heroin chick who hasn’t showered in days.
